This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Articulate the vision, strategy, and comprehensive roadmap for transitioning from an uninstrumented workload to effective and valuable telemetry in Grafana Cloud.
• Develop seamless experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployment.
• Identify and resolve issues related to setup failures, abandonment, misconfiguration, and subpar telemetry quality.
• Establish unified experience principles, priorities, and success metrics across product and engineering teams.
• Leverage customer research, product analytics, and market insights to prioritize investment opportunities and assess outcomes.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud solution teams to facilitate the transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
• Assist in defining the product narrative, differentiation, launches, technical content, adoption programs, and marketing campaigns.
• Work in conjunction with Engineering, Design, Documentation, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
• Represent Grafana Labs and its customer base in discussions within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Oversee the complete OpenTelemetry experience, including onboarding, configuration, authentication, connectivity, troubleshooting, and validation of telemetry health.
• Utilize AI tools to synthesize customer research, analyze product signals, prototype user experiences, develop positioning content, and evaluate agent-led instrumentation journeys.
• Over 5 years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data platforms, or another technically intricate B2B product domain.
• Proven experience in leading strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams or product areas without direct organizational authority.
• Strong familiarity with OpenTelemetry, encompassing SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines, telemetry context, and semantic conventions.
• Experience in utilizing or constructing instrumentation systems, agents, telemetry collectors, configuration products, or similar infrastructure.
• Knowledge of deploying and operating software in Kubernetes, virtual machine environments, and public cloud settings.
• Proven track record of transforming complex onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.
• History of leveraging customer research and product data to inform decisions, align stakeholders, and achieve measurable results.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: familiarity with the OpenTelemetry or broader open-source observability ecosystem.
• Bonus: experience with automatic instrumentation, eBPF, or runtime-based instrumentation.
• Bonus: direct experience as an SRE, platform engineer, developer, or observability practitioner.
• Bonus: experience in building product-led onboarding, configuration validation, or telemetry health experiences at scale.
