This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +6 more countries.
• Take charge of the complete journey to assist individuals and agents in instrumenting workloads and transmitting valuable OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud.
• Establish the vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap, transforming uninstrumented workloads into healthy and useful telemetry.
• Develop seamless experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployment.
• Identify and resolve issues related to setup failures, abandonment, misconfiguration, and low-quality telemetry.
• Set shared experience principles, priorities, and success metrics across product and engineering teams.
• Utilize customer research, product data, and market insights to prioritize investments and assess outcomes.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud solution teams to facilitate the transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
• Articulate product narratives, differentiation strategies, launches, technical content, adoption programs, and campaigns in partnership with Product Marketing and go-to-market teams.
• Work alongside Engineering, Design, Documentation, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
• Advocate for Grafana Labs and its customers in discussions within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Leverage AI tools to synthesize research, analyze product signals, explore workflows, prototype experiences, develop positioning content, and test agent-led instrumentation journeys.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management within developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data platforms, or other technically intricate B2B product domains.
• Proven experience in leading strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams or product areas without direct organizational authority.
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, covering SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines, telemetry context, and semantic conventions.
• Experience in using or developing instrumentation systems, agents, telemetry collectors, configuration products, or similar infrastructure.
• Knowledge of deploying and managing software in Kubernetes, virtual machines, and public cloud environments.
• Proven track record in simplifying complex onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.
• History of leveraging customer research and product data to inform decisions, align stakeholders, and achieve measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Bonus: experience with OpenTelemetry or the open-source observability ecosystem.
• Bonus: familiarity with automatic instrumentation, eBPF, or runtime-based instrumentation.
• Bonus: hands-on experience as an SRE, platform engineer, developer, or observability practitioner.
• Bonus: experience in building product-led onboarding, configuration validation, or telemetry health experiences at scale.
