This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +6 more countries.
• Take charge of the comprehensive process that assists individuals and agents in implementing workloads and transmitting valuable OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud.
• Develop the vision, strategy, and cross-product roadmap that transforms uninstrumented workloads into robust, actionable telemetry.
• Craft user experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector-based deployments.
• Minimize setup failures, abandonment, misconfiguration, and the production of low-quality telemetry.
• Establish common experience principles, priorities, and success metrics across product and engineering teams.
• Leverage customer research, product data, and market insights to prioritize investments and evaluate results.
• Collaborate with downstream Grafana Cloud solution teams to facilitate the transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
• Define the product narrative, differentiation, launches, technical content, adoption programs, and campaigns in conjunction with Product Marketing and go-to-market teams.
• Work alongside Engineering, Design, Documentation, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
• Represent Grafana Labs and its clientele in discussions within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Utilize AI tools to synthesize customer research, analyze product signals, explore workflows, prototype experiences, develop positioning content, and test agent-led instrumentation journeys.
• Over 5 years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data platforms, or other technically intricate B2B product domains.
• Proven experience in leading strategy and execution across various engineering teams or product areas without direct organizational authority.
• Strong familiarity with OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines, telemetry context, and semantic conventions.
• Experience in utilizing or constructing instrumentation systems, agents, telemetry collectors, configuration products, or related infrastructure.
• Knowledge of deploying and managing software in Kubernetes, virtual machines, and public cloud environments.
• Capability to transform complex onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences.
• A track record of utilizing customer research and product data to inform decisions, align stakeholders, and achieve measurable outcomes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bonus: experience with OpenTelemetry or the open-source observability ecosystem.
• Bonus: familiarity with automatic instrumentation, eBPF, or runtime-based instrumentation.
• Bonus: direct experience as an SRE, platform engineer, developer, or observability practitioner.
• Bonus: experience in creating product-led onboarding, configuration-validation, or telemetry-health experiences at scale.
