This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Articulate the vision, strategy, and comprehensive roadmap for transitioning uninstrumented workloads into effective, insightful telemetry within Grafana Cloud.
• Develop seamless experiences across SDK instrumentation, automated instrumentation, and Collector-based deployments.
• Detect and resolve the underlying causes of setup failures, abandonment, misconfigurations, and subpar telemetry.
• Define shared experience principles, priorities, and success metrics across product and engineering teams.
• Leverage customer research, product analytics, and market insights to guide investment priorities and evaluate outcomes.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud solution teams to move from telemetry ingestion to impactful product activation.
• Assist in formulating the product narrative, differentiation strategies, launches, technical documentation, adoption initiatives, and marketing campaigns.
• Work alongside Engineering, Design, Documentation, Developer Relations, Product Marketing, and go-to-market teams.
• Represent Grafana Labs and its clientele in discussions within the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Utilize AI tools for research synthesis, product signal analysis, workflow exploration, prototyping, content positioning, and testing agent-led instrumentation journeys.
• Over 5 years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, infrastructure, data platforms, or another technically intricate B2B product domain.
• Proven experience in leading strategy and execution across various engineering teams or product domains without direct organizational authority.
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, encompassing SDK instrumentation, OTLP, Collector pipelines, telemetry context, and semantic conventions.
• Experience in utilizing or constructing instrumentation systems, agents, telemetry collectors, configuration products, or related infrastructure.
• Knowledge of deploying and managing software across Kubernetes, virtual machines, and public cloud environments.
• Proven ability to transform complex onboarding, configuration, and troubleshooting processes into user-friendly product experiences.
• Experience utilizing customer research and product data to drive decision-making, align stakeholders, and achieve measurable results.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Bonus: Experience contributing to or developing products related to OpenTelemetry or the wider open-source observability ecosystem.
• Bonus: Familiarity with automatic instrumentation, eBPF, or runtime-based instrumentation.
• Bonus: Direct experience as an SRE, platform engineer, developer, or observability practitioner.
• Bonus: Experience in creating product-led onboarding, configuration-validation, or telemetry-health experiences at scale.
