This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take full ownership of the design process for Facet's internal web-based software tools, encompassing problem framing, information architecture, UI design, prototyping, and deployment.
• Convert essential planning and operational mental frameworks into clear, user-friendly experiences and intricate UI patterns.
• Streamline legacy information architecture across various internal platforms by merging fragmented tools and redundant actions into coherent and efficient workflows.
• Create workflow solutions tailored for planners and sales teams, which include scheduling meetings, taking notes, responding to messages, and managing daily responsibilities.
• Engage in continuous research with internal teams to affirm interaction patterns and identify unmet workflow requirements.
• Champion the needs of power users who predominantly utilize internal tools throughout their day.
• Design interfaces that effectively convey tool functionalities and enhance user confidence in automated processes.
• Make practical design choices that balance UX excellence with agile, functional solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to upgrade legacy tools into streamlined work environments.
• An online portfolio is mandatory for consideration, demonstrating strong information architecture, systems thinking, and intricate workflow design.
• A minimum of 7 years of product design experience is required.
• Proven experience in delivering software for data-intensive workflows, internal tools, or specialized professional platforms.
• Experience in the fintech sector is a plus.
• Proficient in leading user research, driving discovery, mapping user journeys, prototyping, and developing high-fidelity designs.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to bring designs to life.
• Capability to actively incorporate AI features to enhance efficiency for both the designer and the end user.
• Strong systems thinking, including understanding structural patterns, reusable components, and mental models.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions, navigate technical limitations, and align stakeholders around UX choices.
• Highly skilled in using Figma.
• Comfortable with maintaining and extending design systems.
• Preference for experience in designing for financial planning, wealth management, or investing.
