Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Establish the visual and experiential guidance for Taptap Send's global branding.

• Advance the brand identity while maintaining trust in critical financial operations.

• Extend the design system into a robust infrastructure that includes tokens, motion, content patterns, and documentation.

• Ensure uniform product delivery across mobile platforms, web applications, and internal tools.

• Guide new product initiatives from initial concepts to launched products that deliver measurable outcomes for customers and the business.

• Set and uphold the design standards for the team.

• Define design direction for a brand that operates across four continents.

• Address complex, high-stakes challenges related to new markets, products, and regulatory environments.

• Leverage AI tools to prototype, experiment, generate components, automate workflows, and execute front-end work in line with specifications.

• Construct the design system, brand identity, and products built on these foundations.

• Shape roadmaps informed by evidence, prototypes, and delivered artifacts.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, growth, compliance, and go-to-market teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A portfolio demonstrating a range of skills and depth, including consumer mobile products developed from concept to launch.

• Proven systems thinking, encompassing the underlying structure of products, not just the screens.

• Strong foundations in visual hierarchy, typography, content strategy, micro-animation, and information architecture.

• Experience with AI tools for LLM-assisted prototyping, code editing, component generation, and workflow automation.

• Ability to discern where AI tools enhance productivity and where they may produce subpar outcomes.

• Exceptional attention to detail paired with practical prioritization skills.

• Profound customer empathy and the capability to understand customers' financial experiences.

• Comfortable taking the lead as the most senior designer in a team setting.

• Experience in fintech, marketplaces, or other high-trust consumer sectors is advantageous.
