Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Independently lead and execute large-scale projects that span multiple teams or accounts.

• Identify unstructured problems and recognize opportunities prior to assignment.

• Establish the quality standards and visual direction for a specific account or product line.

• Determine when to personally execute tasks versus creating scalable templates, patterns, or documentation.

• Take ownership of design decisions across various surface areas or product lines.

• Set standards for AI UX and maintain pattern libraries along with evaluation checklists.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance exploration and prototyping while applying independent judgment.

• Advance Koru's AI design practices.

• Foster collaboration across teams through clear and effective communication.

• Mentor and support designers throughout various projects.

• Position Koru as a strategic partner through high-quality thinking and output.

• Lead initiatives that enhance Koru's visibility or expand its service offerings.

• Refine Koru's internal design frameworks and processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product or UX design, primarily at a senior level or higher.

• A portfolio that showcases a diverse range of work, measurable business impacts, and leadership of complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish.

• Experience with B2B products and enterprise software applications.

• Background in HealthTech is highly advantageous.

• Practical experience in designing AI-driven features or AI-native product concepts.

• Proficient in prototyping in code or closely aligned with front-end development to validate concepts without relying on engineering.

• Strong design skills and sound judgment.

• Practical understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in product design.

• Ability to set strategic direction and elevate the performance of individuals who do not report directly to you.

• Business acumen with the capacity to act as a strategic partner to client leadership.

• Strong and persuasive communication skills.
