Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance enterprise product and service experiences within intricate industrial settings.

• Recognize ambiguous problem areas, unify stakeholders around key priorities, establish success metrics, and outline design direction across multiple product platforms and critical business workflows.

• Convert customer requirements, business objectives, and technical limitations into product opportunities, experience principles, and quantifiable outcomes.

• Guide cross-functional teams through story-mapping workshops to synchronize user journeys, establish project scope, and prioritize incremental delivery.

• Employ systems thinking to link immediate product choices to long-term platform and portfolio strategies.

• Develop human-centered interaction models for AI-driven products, encompassing conversational, recommendation, and decision-support experiences.

• Implement responsible AI principles while balancing automation with human oversight, transparency, and user agency.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to expedite exploration whilst upholding human judgment.

• Direct design efforts from initial product definition through detailed interaction design, producing journey maps, workflows, prototypes, and production-ready specifications.

• Create cohesive experiences across products, workflows, and user roles by utilizing design-system patterns and suggesting enhancements.

• Organize and execute stakeholder interviews, usability tests, focus groups, and other forms of user research.

• Leverage research insights, product data, and business evidence to guide and assess design decisions.

• Collaborate with engineering to ensure that implementations align with approved designs, workflows, accessibility standards, and design-system guidelines.

• Assess prototypes, builds, and pull-request artifacts to identify experience risks prior to release.

• Establish scalable design-quality practices that integrate Figma specifications, reusable components, acceptance criteria, and delivered experiences.

• Construct, modify, or enhance functional prototypes within code-based and AI-assisted development environments.

• Act as a strategic design partner for product and engineering leaders.

• Articulate product and experience strategy to technical, business, and executive audiences.

• Provide critique and mentorship to enhance the judgment and skills of other designers.

• Contribute reusable guidance that improves organizational delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in product design, interaction design, or user experience.

• Proven experience with complex enterprise or platform-level initiatives.

• Portfolio showcasing problem framing, interaction design, systems thinking, prototyping, and product impact.

• Experience collaborating with product management and engineering throughout the product lifecycle.

• Familiarity with design systems and design-to-code workflows.

• Demonstrated capability to influence product direction without formal authority.

• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.

• Experience contributing to design systems and working with engineering on reusable components.

• Proficient in using product analytics, customer feedback, and other evidence to assess product outcomes and inform design choices.

• Working knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML and CSS.

• Experience utilizing code-based and AI-assisted development environments to build, edit, or refine functional prototypes.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
