Senior Store Design Manager – Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creative development and implementation of HOKA retail concepts across various store formats.

• Convert brand strategy and consumer insights into site-specific architectural designs and consumer experiences.

• Manage retail projects from inception to completion, including design, documentation, construction coordination, and store openings.

• Develop and present design narratives, sketches, plans, and renderings.

• Implement and uphold the 365-store design toolkit.

• Transform field insights and pilot project learnings into recommendations for global design standards.

• Lead the prototyping and refinement processes for fixtures, furniture, and display systems.

• Collaborate with Real Estate, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, Retail Brand Expression, and regional teams to assess sites and design feasibility.

• Supervise external architects, design agencies, consultants, and fabricators, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.

• Evaluate regional design adaptations and provide creative direction that aligns with global standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in Retail Design; 8-10 years is preferred.

• Proven experience in executing retail design projects across flagship, brand, and outlet formats.

• Experience managing new store openings, relocations, expansions, remodels, and special projects.

• Experience directing external architects, agencies, consultants, and fabricators.

• Experience in contributing to and implementing global design standards within a larger brand strategy.

• Strong skills in design communication through renderings, sketches, and presentations.

• Solid architectural knowledge and practical execution experience.

• Strong expertise in fixture and materials design.

• Ability to translate brand and concept direction into market-appropriate retail environments.

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.

• Strong skills in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication.

• Solution-oriented problem-solving abilities in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.

• Must reside in one of the approved states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin.
