Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Interpret prescriptions from physicians and prescribers.

• Reach out to physicians for new and transfer authorizations.

• Contact doctors and/or patients to confirm prescription details.

• Consult with patients about medication usage and possible drug interactions.

• Collaborate with physicians to switch prescriptions to generic or preferred alternatives when feasible.

• Monitor order statuses and unresolved issues.

• Address customer inquiries related to lost orders or dispensing mistakes.

• Maintain daily production, quality, and service standards.

• Provide oversight and quality assurance for pharmacy technicians.

• Verify the validity of controlled substances.

• Ensure prescription information is accurately entered into the system.

• Support other pharmacists and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

• Mentor less experienced pharmacists.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; a PharmD is preferred.

• Current active resident pharmacist license in good standing.

• Advanced problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to resolve issues.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting prescriptions.

• High emphasis on customer service, quality, and precision.

• Ability to manage timelines and adhere to tight client deadlines.

• Capacity to adapt in a dynamic environment.

• Flexibility to work a schedule that accommodates peak volume periods.

• Must reside and hold a license in Arizona, Indiana, Florida, Ohio, or Tennessee.

• Cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed for remote work.
