This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Assist in the care of patients at HarmonyCares through the centralized Patient Contact Center.
β’ Deliver outstanding customer service for incoming inquiries from both external and internal sources.
β’ Act as the initial point of contact for requests regarding medication refills.
β’ Address calls or redirect them to other teams or escalate to the pharmacist according to established protocols.
β’ Input prescription renewal requests into the EMR and verify patient records for any discrepancies.
β’ Follow protocols for medication quantities and refills during the renewal process.
β’ Recognize and escalate medication issues that fall outside of established protocols.
β’ Enhance workflows and processes related to refill services.
β’ Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
β’ Carry out assigned opening and closing shift responsibilities.
β’ Update patient details, pharmacy information, and medication lists as necessary.
β’ Provide backup support to Patient Advocates when required.
β’ Comply with HIPAA regulations and all relevant state and federal laws.
β’ Address and escalate any patient complaints, grievances, or concerns as needed.
β’ Collaborate with care team members and engage in quality improvement initiatives.
β’ Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
β’ Current and unrestricted pharmacy license or the necessary training/certification as per state regulations.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy technician role.
β’ Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and facility staff.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven track record of building effective communication lines with all staff levels.
β’ Proficient in reading, writing, and mathematics; able to multi-task and perform well in high-pressure environments.
β’ Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
β’ Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
β’ Familiarity with pharmacy technician protocols.
β’ At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
β’ Experience with EMR or pharmacy management systems.
β’ Knowledge of medical terminology.
