This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Oversee the design and advancement of edge-to-cloud connectivity solutions.
β’ Create highly reliable, low-latency communication systems that link on-premise robotic deployments with the cloud-native control plane.
β’ Act as the technical expert for network systems architecture.
β’ Design connectivity solutions utilizing 5G and private LTE networks.
β’ Incorporate containerized network functions to enhance edge performance.
β’ Develop and execute scalable, multi-tenant network architectures for global robot deployments.
β’ Engineer high-throughput, low-latency telemetry and control traffic through kernel-level tuning and contemporary packet processing frameworks.
β’ Establish standards for secure, high-performance tunneling between distributed edge devices and centralized cloud infrastructure.
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to ensure network infrastructure aligns with long-term business and product objectives.
β’ A minimum of 8 years of experience in network architecture, systems engineering, or a senior networking role within a complex, distributed environment.
β’ Proficiency in Telco/5G wireless networking, including containerized network functions and kernel-level performance tuning.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of the Linux network stack along with BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP protocols.
β’ Capability to design and implement sophisticated SDN and virtualization solutions at scale.
β’ Advanced skills in wired and wireless packet analysis using PCAP, 802.11 Wi-Fi frame analysis, Wireshark, and tcpdump.
β’ Familiarity with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be standards and Wi-Fi 5/6/6E/7.
β’ Awareness of channel and band behaviors across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequencies.
β’ Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time to the US, primarily, and Canada.
β’ Current authorization to work in the United States.
β’ Preferred: Experience with AWS cloud networking, Linux kernel eBPF/XDP, and RF spectrum analysis tools.
