This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Design, implement, and oversee enterprise and campus LAN/WAN infrastructure.
β’ Architect and manage cloud networking solutions on AWS and Azure platforms.
β’ Lead initiatives in network capacity planning, performance optimization, and high-availability/resilience design.
β’ Collaborate with the security team to configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls.
β’ Monitor the health of the network and diagnose complex issues related to connectivity, latency, and performance.
β’ Automate network provisioning and configuration management through scripting and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
β’ Ensure the accuracy of network documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and established standards.
β’ Respond to and take charge of resolving network incidents, which may include occasional on-call duties.
β’ Mentor junior engineers and offer technical guidance on network design choices.
β’ Collaborate with security, cloud, and IT support teams to meet business and project requirements.
β’ Proven experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise and campus LAN/WAN infrastructure, encompassing switching, routing, wireless, and SD-WAN technologies.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in architecting and managing cloud networking solutions on AWS/Azure, including VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, transit gateways, VPN, and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).
β’ Strong background in network capacity planning, performance tuning, and high-availability/resilience design.
β’ Proficiency in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls.
β’ Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools for assessing network health.
β’ Ability to troubleshoot intricate connectivity, latency, and performance challenges.
β’ Experience in automating network provisioning and configuration management using scripting and infrastructure-as-code.
β’ Skilled in maintaining network documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and standards.
β’ Experience in responding to and resolving network incidents, including occasional on-call responsibilities.
β’ Industry certifications such as CCNP / CCIE or cloud networking certifications are advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with SD-WAN networking and/or SASE solutions is a plus.
β’ Exposure to wireless design and management using Cisco, Aruba, or Meraki technologies is beneficial.
β’ Practical experience with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, or Check Point is a plus.
β’ Experience in environments compliant with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or NERC CIP is preferred.
