This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
β’ Take charge of the technical strategy for Device Infrastructure Services along with the tools and standards that support around 2,000 compliant, configured, and secure endpoints.
β’ Develop and implement the roadmap for evolving from legacy device management to operations driven by DevOps and AI.
β’ Promote a DevOps operational framework utilizing config-as-code, version control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines in place of manual console modifications.
β’ Champion the integration of responsible agentic AI, setting guidelines for autonomous actions and human oversight.
β’ Serve as the ultimate escalation point for high-severity incidents involving endpoints.
β’ Troubleshoot machine-level issues on both macOS and Windows hardware.
β’ Collaborate with IT, Security, and product teams to create tailored solutions and advance initiatives.
β’ Evaluate and test new tools, including MDM migrations and patch management systems.
β’ Lead decisions regarding build versus buy options.
β’ Provide guidance to product teams on enterprise device deployment considerations.
β’ Spearhead Customer Zero initiatives by piloting and stress-testing 1Password products on the internal fleet.
β’ Create a 12-month GitOps transition roadmap.
β’ Establish metrics for device health and standards for remediation.
β’ Formulate an AI-assisted operational strategy alongside automation milestones.
β’ Support significant operating system vendor releases and ensure their safe implementation throughout the organization.
β’ Mentor and develop the team.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT and enterprise endpoint management.
β’ At least 2 years in a senior or staff individual-contributor role.
β’ Proven experience in building and managing endpoints utilizing GitOps methodologies.
β’ Extensive knowledge of enterprise endpoint management.
β’ In-depth experience at the operating system level.
β’ Hands-on experience with AI tools in IT operations.
β’ Capability to define and execute technical roadmaps.
β’ Proficient in scripting and infrastructure-as-code using Bash, Python, and Terraform as a minimum.
β’ Experience in developing production-quality automation and conducting code reviews.
β’ Strong understanding of endpoint security essentials, including encryption, patch/vulnerability management, EDR, least-privilege enforcement, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
β’ Ability to lead through transitions, collaborate effectively, and mentor engineers.
β’ Must already possess legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada; no work authorization, relocation assistance, or sponsorship for visa transfer will be provided.
