Staff Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee end-to-end product and operational projects from problem identification to implementation, launch, and production verification.

• Transform vague requirements into actionable plans, milestones, and deliverable increments.

• Develop and sustain dependable applications utilizing Django and TypeScript.

• Make informed decisions regarding architecture, data models, APIs, integrations, testing, security, and production operations.

• Employ AI tools throughout the processes of investigation, development, testing, debugging, and review.

• Rigorously validate AI-assisted outputs and recognize when direct engineering expertise is necessary.

• Collaborate directly with Product, Design, Operations, and other stakeholders to comprehend challenges and define successful outcomes.

• Proactively communicate updates, decisions, risks, and obstacles.

• Troubleshoot production issues, responsibly restore services, and implement follow-up enhancements to minimize recurrence.

• Enhance systems, tools, and engineering methodologies to assist the broader team in working more efficiently and producing superior results.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong backend development expertise in Python and Django.

• Experience in building user-facing applications with React and TypeScript.

• Demonstrated accountability for significant production outcomes.

• Proficient in designing and integrating APIs, relational data models, and third-party services.

• Solid understanding of automated testing, security, data integrity, failure management, and sustainable software design.

• Experience in diagnosing production behavior using logs, metrics, traces, profiling, and other operational insights.

• Meaningful experience utilizing AI tools within a professional engineering workflow.

• Capable of articulating technical decisions, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote, cross-functional setting.

• Experience in a lean product environment where engineers engage directly with business or operational stakeholders.

• Familiarity with marketplaces, matching, routing, lead management, workflow automation, or other multi-sided products.

• Experience in developing integration-heavy systems involving CRMs, communication platforms, webhooks, asynchronous jobs, or third-party APIs.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and background-processing systems such as Celery.

• Experience in delivering comprehensive features across backend and frontend systems.

• Experience dealing with production incidents, migrations, concurrency, data quality issues, or other high-stakes workflows.

• Experience in transforming successful AI workflows into reusable automation, tools, or team practices.
