Senior Engineer, Core Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with design, product, and data teams to establish technical strategies and assess product trade-offs.

• Design and implement features utilizing AI models and autonomous workflows.

• Incorporate cutting-edge AI tools into team processes and product frameworks.

• Create robust systems that take into account latency, scalability, downstream data consumers, and telemetry.

• Ensure that data pipelines receive clean and actionable events.

• Take ownership of features from launch through to completion.

• Set up key metrics and monitor performance dashboards.

• Analyze post-release discrepancies and iterate based on user interactions and business results.

• Develop products capable of managing millions of transactions with sub-second response times.

• Participate in occasional company onsite events and project-planning travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade applications within cloud-native settings.

• Proven experience in employing AI-assisted workflows for fast and high-quality code generation.

• A strong focus on user impact and accountability to business metrics such as conversion rates, retention, and operational costs.

• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and transactional systems that supply analytical data pipelines.

• Ability to navigate comfortably across the full stack and take ownership of a product or feature.

• Proficient in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and Expo (React Native).

• Familiarity with Laravel (PHP) is preferred but not essential if there is demonstrable expertise in developing high-performing backend systems at scale.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.

• Experience with AWS.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for company onsite events and project planning, typically 2–4 times per year.

• Experience with financial technology platforms and payroll systems is a plus.

• Background in lending, payments, BNPL, or ACH is highly regarded.
