Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications utilizing TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like React, Next.js, or NestJS.

• Propel the evolution of CINC's architecture from a monolithic structure to modular microservices.

• Create and utilize RESTful and GraphQL APIs while setting API standards.

• Implement integrations based on event-driven and message-based architectures.

• Employ automated testing, CI/CD practices, and continuous delivery methodologies.

• Collaborate with design and product teams to transform complex requirements into user-friendly features.

• Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and iterative delivery, adhering to Extreme Programming principles.

• Incorporate Cephai-powered functionalities into user-centric features.

• Mentor both senior and mid-level engineers.

• Facilitate technical discussions regarding architecture, reliability, and performance among teams.

• Direct the technical design and implementation of initiatives that span multiple teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of software engineering experience in developing production web applications or SaaS solutions.

• Profound proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, along with frameworks such as React, Next.js, or NestJS.

• Extensive knowledge of backend architecture, including monolith decomposition, microservice principles, and best practices for API design.

• Proven ability to design and maintain RESTful or GraphQL APIs with well-defined contracts and documentation at scale.

• Practical experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, observability, and containerized deployments.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).

• Experience in making and documenting architectural decisions, such as ADRs, while balancing scalability, cost, and maintainability.

• Capability to articulate design choices and technical trade-offs to engineers, product managers, designers, and senior stakeholders.

• Proven track record of owning complex, multi-team initiatives from conception to deployment.

• Experience working in cross-functional teams, leading architectural discussions and reviews.

• History of mentoring engineers and enhancing technical standards without formal management authority.
