Staff Frontend Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, operate, and enhance dependable full-stack web applications, customer-facing account portals, and backend services for customer usage and billing processes.

• Construct and maintain backend APIs utilizing Golang and Node.js, alongside user interfaces developed with TypeScript and React.

• Create and uphold integrations with NetSuite, Salesforce, AWS, Azure, GCP, and various cloud marketplaces.

• Develop and automate business logic concerning usage metering, pricing strategies, promotions, and billing reconciliation.

• Collaborate with teams from Product Management, DealOps, GTM, Support, and AppCore squads.

• Tackle technical debt, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and enhance test coverage, observability, and operational resilience.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship opportunities.

• Engage in roadmap planning, technical design, OnCall improvements, and stack simplification efforts.

• Enhance runbooks, dashboards, alerts, reconciliation security, rollout controls, and recovery protocols.

• Debug across service boundaries and take ownership of the production performance of systems.

• Design microservices and system architectures.

• Collaborate with Product and UX teams.

• Address customer inquiries and feedback.

• Participate in follow-the-sun OnCall duties when prepared.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fully remote work environments.

• Experience with large SaaS platforms and managing distributed system challenges, including scalability, multi-tenancy, data isolation, and high availability.

• Strong professional background in Golang, Node.js, TypeScript, and React.

• Proven track record of delivering projects from requirements gathering and brainstorming through to product launch.

• Capability to write clean, robust, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Experience in mentoring junior engineers within a collaborative asynchronous setting.

• Ability to decompose complex challenges into modular solutions and iterate using MVPs, data, and feedback.

• Willingness to collaborate across teams and align strategies with external stakeholders.

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes within AWS, GCP, or Azure environments.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Helm, Terraform, and Jsonnet.
