Staff Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and implement frontend architecture strategies across various products.

• Lead the design system as an engineering platform, encompassing technical direction, contribution and release models, along with adoption strategies.

• Oversee frontend accessibility, performance, reliability, security, testing, and overall production health.

• Develop APIs, tools, guardrails, documentation, and standards for frontend engineering teams.

• Define AI-native engineering practices for frontend teams while ensuring human review and production judgment are maintained.

• Elevate frontend engineering standards throughout the organization.

• Mentor Senior engineers towards broader ownership roles.

• Foster collaboration across Engineering, Product, Design, and QA teams.

• Remain actively involved in high-risk technical tasks as necessary.

• Transform recurring production issues into systemic and platform-level enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in frontend architecture with significant experience in Angular, React, or similar applications.

• Ability to analyze state and reactivity, rendering, module and package boundaries, dependency management, browser behavior, and performance.

• Technical proficiency to lead a platform based on Angular and TypeScript.

• Solid understanding of components, browser dynamics, build and bundling processes, package management, testing, and performance concepts.

• Proven experience in developing frontend platforms utilized by other teams.

• Familiarity with component APIs, tokens and theming, versioning, migrations, backward compatibility, contribution models, and adoption strategies.

• Capability to establish quality gates, set performance expectations, implement accessible interaction patterns, and adhere to frontend security practices.

• Knowledge of API and service boundaries, authentication and authorization, asynchronous systems, observability, failure modes, and deployment behaviors.

• Competence in creating technical direction, defending significant decisions, building consensus, and mentoring Senior engineers.

• Experience in scaling AI-first initiatives within an organization using AI agents.
