Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance modern frontend interfaces utilizing React or Angular.

• Manage dynamic generative UI components and real-time streaming outputs.

• Enhance application performance, data flows, state management, authentication, and responsive rendering.

• Integrate AI coding agents throughout the frontend design, coding, testing, and code review processes.

• Create frontend components that consume and display outputs from Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and multi-agent backends.

• Process structured and unstructured data received via streaming responses.

• Collaborate with backend and AI engineering teams on robust LLM-powered API integrations.

• Oversee latency, streaming, and error states within the user interface.

• Work alongside subject matter experts to grasp business challenges and convert requirements into technical architectures.

• Engage in the complete delivery process from scoping and prototyping to production deployment.

• Articulate technical trade-offs and the impact of solutions to technical teams and executive stakeholders.

• Document deployment insights, best practices, and share knowledge.

• Partner with engineering leads to enhance deployment pipelines and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to the health of CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, environment configuration, and troubleshooting during deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong expertise in HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development.

• Practical experience utilizing AI coding agents and agentic development tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining modern frontend applications with React or Angular.

• Experience in managing streaming data or real-time query responses.

• Background in building interfaces that consume and display Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI agent outputs.

• Comprehensive understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience collaborating with enterprise clients and subject matter experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Ability to troubleshoot system performance, scalability, and reliability issues.

• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications and multiple integrations.

• Strong experience in REST API integration, including aspects such as authentication/authorization, error handling, versioning, and JSON.

• Knowledge of component-based architecture, separation of concerns, and maintainable state management practices.

• Experience in automated testing, covering unit, integration, and mocking.

• Security-focused frontend development, including secure token and secret management, authentication/authorization flows, and awareness of XSS and CSRF.

• Ability to diagnose production issues using logging, monitoring, and telemetry tools.

• Strong emphasis on code quality practices, including code reviews, refactoring, technical debt management, and adherence to coding standards.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred: familiarity with frontend testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Preferred: experience with component-driven design systems.

• Preferred: knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux, NgRx, or Zustand.

• Preferred: experience with micro-frontend architectures.

• Preferred: background in enterprise consulting and agentic AI development practices.

• Preferred: contributions to AI platforms, open-source projects, or internal frameworks.

• Preferred: experience in modernizing existing frontend codebases.

• Preferred: active professional certifications in frontend frameworks, cloud platforms, or AI-assisted development.

• Preferred: advanced degree in a related technical discipline.
