Software Engineer, Front End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take complete ownership of partner-facing web products from the design handoff to release.

• Spearhead the development of an embeddable onboarding module for both individual and business brokerage accounts.

• Create multi-step application processes for business accounts, which include adding and verifying owners and signers, as well as conducting identity and compliance checks.

• Develop partner-specific versions derived from a shared codebase.

• Construct and maintain the partner dashboard, which includes positions, statements, account reporting, joint and advisory account details, and notification settings.

• Create self-service functionalities that aim to minimize manual operational tasks.

• Redesign workflows utilizing a new business-account API and data model in collaboration with backend engineers.

• Manage and update dependencies across two different codebases.

• Collaborate directly with product, design, and backend engineering teams.

• Influence product decisions and suggest enhancements beyond the assigned tickets.

• Oversee releases through preview environments, UAT, and production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in Canada or LATAM within the Americas Timezone (GMT-4 to GMT-8).

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing production web applications using React and TypeScript.

• Proven experience in creating complex, multi-step forms and data-intensive screens with meticulous validation, edge cases, and error conditions.

• Familiarity with the Node.js server layer that supports web applications, including Koa, gRPC, and Postgres.

• Capability to establish API contracts with backend engineers and evaluate UI implications.

• Experience in transforming Figma designs and product tickets into deployed features.

• Proven track record of managing the release process from preview environments through UAT to production.

• A product-engineering mindset that prioritizes user experience and addresses business challenges.

• Self-driven, independent, and adaptable to ambiguity while taking on various roles.

• Experience in fintech, brokerage, or banking, particularly in account onboarding that involves identity and compliance checks (preferred).

• Background in creating white-label or embeddable B2B products (preferred).

• Familiarity with integrating fintech SDKs such as Plaid or Persona, or e-signature tools (preferred).

• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code (preferred).

• Proficient in TypeScript, React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, React Aria, Storybook, React Hook Form, Zod, SWR, Node.js, Koa, gRPC, Postgres, Plaid, Persona, Auth0, and LaunchDarkly.
