Staff Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with clients to grasp technical requirements and operational challenges.

• Design, implement, and tailor production solutions within customer environments.

• Create integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tools.

• Convert customer insights into actionable product and engineering specifications.

• Resolve intricate technical issues spanning application and infrastructure layers.

• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to enhance platform functionalities.

• Manage projects from the technical exploration phase through to deployment and iteration.

• Develop reusable solutions that can be scaled across various customers.

• Enhance deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability.

• Serve as a technical advisor and reliable engineering partner to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Go, or related languages.

• Experience in building and deploying production-grade software.

• Strong capabilities in systems, API, integration, and debugging.

• Proven track record of working directly with clients or cross-functional teams.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.

• Excellent communication and technical problem-solving abilities.

• High sense of ownership and the capacity to independently drive projects.

• Familiarity with AI/ML systems or infrastructure (preferred).

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure (preferred).

• Background in startup or scale-up environments (preferred).

• Experience deploying software in complex enterprise settings (preferred).

• Knowledge of LLMs, model serving, or AI agents (preferred).

• Experience in developing tooling or automation (preferred).

• Proficiency in English is required.
