Staff Engineer – Tech Support L2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Provide technical assistance to end-users and application developers utilizing a managed Kubernetes cluster solution deployed at the edge.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate infrastructure, networking, deployment, and performance challenges within cloud environments.

• Deploy and oversee Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and secure.

• Log, monitor, and address incidents effectively.

• Enhance the knowledge base and deliver status updates.

• Sustain cloud-native infrastructure and platform services that support enterprise applications.

• Maintain solutions for monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability.

• Manage Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform and related automation tools.

• Implement GitOps methodologies with FluxCD, Helm, and Kubernetes for managing infrastructure and application lifecycles.

• Work collaboratively with development, security, and operations teams to preserve and enhance scalable cloud-native solutions.

• Create automation scripts and internal tools to boost operational efficiency and platform reliability.

• Excellent proficiency in English.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities for tackling complex issues in scalable and resilient cloud-native environments.

• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.

• Proficiency in Docker and container technologies.

• Strong expertise in cloud computing, including AWS or AliCloud, with a focus on compute, networking, and security configurations (e.g., VPC, security groups).

• Advanced skills in Helm and Kustomize.

• Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Knowledgeable in GitOps, particularly with FluxCD.

• Familiar with CI/CD automation practices.

• Expertise in observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, and Thanos.

• Skilled in Python and Bash scripting.

• Proficient in monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.

• Experienced in DevOps and platform engineering.
