Staff Engineer, Oracle EBS Techno-Functional – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as a pivotal Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Finance Consultant, connecting business needs with technical solutions.

• Offer primary support for Oracle EBS Financials, encompassing incident management, enhancements, production support, and period-end activities.

• Collaborate with finance teams, business users, and stakeholders to collect requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and propose solutions.

• Lead workshops for requirements gathering and create functional and technical documentation following AIM/OUM methodologies.

• Assist in Month-End/Year-End Close, Bank Integrations, Account Reconciliation, Subledger Accounting, and financial reporting.

• Lead and engage in CRP, UAT, system testing, and training for end-users.

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain RICEW components.

• Create complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL database solutions.

• Develop and maintain reports and templates using BI Publisher/XML Publisher and Oracle Reports.

• Design and oversee inbound and outbound Oracle EBS integrations with third-party applications.

• Conduct performance tuning for SQL and PL/SQL.

• Diagnose functional and technical issues, implementing corrective measures.

• Deliver enhancements collaboratively with technical and functional teams, adhering to Oracle EBS standards.

• Manage technical activities utilizing FNDLOAD, SQL*Loader, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

• Engage in upgrades, patches, deployments, integrations, and production support.

• Maintain documentation for requirements, technical designs, testing, deployment, and support procedures.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams across different regions.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, optimization, and enhancing user experience.

• Provide technical and functional guidance while contributing to knowledge sharing.

• Ensure high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of total experience.

• At least 5 years of pertinent experience with Oracle EBS.

• Extensive experience in Oracle EBS Financials with techno-functional expertise.

• Practical experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 / R12.2.x.

• Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Financial modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLA.

• Understanding of financial business processes, accounting principles, trial balance reconciliation, subledger reconciliation, period close, and financial reporting.

• Capability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Experience with RICEW components: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows.

• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, database objects, and Oracle database performance tuning.

• Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI/XML Publisher, and Oracle Workflow Builder.

• Understanding of Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and the technical architecture of Oracle EBS.

• Experience in developing PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Views.

• Experience in creating custom reports and document templates utilizing BI Publisher/XML Publisher and Oracle Reports.

• Experience with Oracle APIs, Web Services, interface tables, and integration methods.

• Familiarity with FNDLOAD, SQL*Loader, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

• Experience in supporting Month-End/Year-End Close, Bank Integrations, Account Reconciliation, and period-close activities.

• Experience collaborating with business users and finance teams.

• Proficient in requirements gathering, technical/functional documentation, and AIM/OUM methodologies, including BR100, MD050, MD070, and TE040.

• Functional candidates may be considered based on an assessment of the specified technical skills.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and both written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Availability to work from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST.
