Staff Engineer – FBG – Trading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions within an event-driven architecture.

• Analyze and resolve complex issues in multifaceted systems to enhance performance and scalability.

• Produce efficient, modular, and testable code.

• Support the product lifecycle from initial concept through development, deployment, and ongoing operation.

• Engage in code reviews, communicate effectively, and escalate challenges as needed.

• Collaborate with Product, Quant, and Engineering teams to deliver stable and reliable applications.

• Participate in planning and design discussions.

• Enhance software quality through testability, operational metrics, and thorough documentation.

• Develop an understanding of products and industry to contribute to the product roadmap.

• Take part in mentorship and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Join an on-call rotation.

• Travel occasionally for special events, offsite meetings, and team collaboration sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years of demonstrable experience in building and deploying scalable, high-performance applications.

• 8+ years of experience with C# and cloud platforms, with Azure being a plus.

• Understanding of software design, development, and testing principles, including SOLID, DRY, TDD, and BDD.

• Experience in building software using Domain Driven Design (DDD).

• Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Background in a start-up environment.

• Familiarity with sports betting or a strong interest in sports is advantageous.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Candidates must be located in Ireland or the UK for the fully remote option.
