
Staff DevOps Engineer β Salesforce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
β’ Act as the primary owner and technical authority for Salesforce DevOps practices, tools, processes, and release management.
β’ Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize Copado effectively.
β’ Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce clouds and integrations.
β’ Oversee deployment workflows across various Salesforce organizations, environments, and release streams.
β’ Establish release governance, deployment standards, branching strategies, code promotion processes, and best practices in DevOps.
β’ Collaborate with development, administration, architecture, QA, infrastructure, security, product, and business teams.
β’ Support daily deployments, environment management, source control, release planning, and production support requests.
β’ Create a long-term roadmap for Salesforce DevOps maturity and automation.
β’ Propel continuous improvement to enhance deployment reliability, minimize manual effort, and boost developer productivity.
β’ Manage source code repositories using Azure DevOps and associated tools.
β’ Formulate environment management strategies, release schedules, deployment runbooks, and operational procedures.
β’ Monitor deployment performance, platform health, release quality, and DevOps metrics.
β’ Troubleshoot deployment issues, environment conflicts, source control challenges, and pipeline failures.
β’ Assess technologies and platform capabilities to enhance software delivery and operational efficiency.
β’ Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on DevOps, release management, and CI/CD practices.
β’ Engage in production releases, rehearsals, maintenance, and after-hours deployments.
β’ Ensure adherence to security, audit, change management, and regulatory requirements.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in software development, DevOps engineering, release engineering, or application lifecycle management.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with the Salesforce platform supporting enterprise-scale implementations.
β’ Expert-level expertise in administering and implementing Copado within complex Salesforce environments.
β’ Advanced knowledge of Salesforce deployment methodologies, metadata management, environment strategies, and release management.
β’ Extensive experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
β’ Strong background in Salesforce Commerce Cloud deployment and release workflows.
β’ Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, and source control management.
β’ In-depth understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and release governance.
β’ Experience managing CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments, teams, and platforms.
β’ Strong proficiency in Git source control, branching models, merge strategies, and version management.
β’ Experience in developing DevOps roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
β’ Willingness to participate in after-hours deployments, production support, and release activities.
β’ Preferred: Salesforce certifications, Copado certifications, experience in regulated or healthcare environments, enterprise integrations, Azure services, infrastructure automation, DevOps maturity models, and release metrics.
