This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead architecture and delivery efforts in collaboration with VA stakeholders and transformation offices.
• Take ownership of the technical vision and establish target-state architecture that prioritizes declarative and out-of-the-box functionalities.
• Provide guidance on the use of Apex, Lightning Web Components, and integrations when configuration options fall short of requirements.
• Ensure all work is conducted in DTC-provisioned sandboxes for effective building, testing, and validation.
• Execute configuration-first agile sprints utilizing Human-Centered Design principles and data-informed feedback mechanisms.
• Develop and uphold Salesforce DevOps best practices, covering source-driven development, Git version control, automated CI/CD, sandbox strategies, and environment management.
• Assess technical designs for compliance with enterprise engineering and data-architecture standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
• Gather and document requirements for features, enhancements, and release packages.
• Facilitate the adoption of Agentforce and AI-driven functionalities, including agent topics, actions, guardrails, and reliable VA data grounding.
• Act as a technical escalation resource and mentor for developers and administrators.
• Perform design and code reviews to maintain platform integrity, minimize technical debt, and enforce governance protocols.
• Develop comprehensive system architecture, schematics, subsystem descriptions, and interfaces.
• Assist in VA future-state planning and align business processes with SaaS/PaaS capabilities.
• Document object/data models and manage architectural artifacts.
• Create CRUD matrices and outline record-/field-level security requirements.
• Specify technical requirements for automation, UI, analytics, and asynchronous tasks.
• Design and document REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware integration patterns.
• Record customization exception approvals and advocate for permission-set-based access models.
• BS/BA with 12 years of experience, Master's degree with 10 years, or PhD with 7 years of experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Proven experience in Salesforce integration across API-based and middleware-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Agentforce in designing and deploying agentic capabilities.
• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps tools and source-driven development, including Salesforce DevOps Center, Gearset, Copado, or similar solutions.
• Experience with SaaS/PaaS integrations across Salesforce, Pega, Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, and other platforms.
• Demonstrated success in delivering technical solutions using a Human-Centered Design approach.
• Salesforce architect or developer certifications are preferred.
• Experience applying Agile SAFe methodologies in a government context is preferred.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Accelerator, Jira, and similar tools is preferred.
• Experience with Data Cloud and/or CRM Analytics is preferred.
