Staff DevOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Create and develop scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure for essential systems.

• Automate infrastructure focusing on uptime and reliability as key objectives.

• Collaborate with developers on architectural decisions to enhance reliability, performance, scalability, and security.

• Identify vulnerabilities early and bolster cybersecurity preparedness.

• Offer final support for services that are customer-dependent.

• Resolve on-call incidents and engage in a weekly on-call rotation.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis to prevent the recurrence of issues.

• Develop tools and automation utilized by engineers throughout the organization.

• Guide and mentor DevOps engineers and teams.

• Incorporate AI into DevOps and SRE processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in an Ops, DevOps, or SRE position, with practical system design and architecture expertise.

• Proficient hands-on experience with AWS, including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, multi-account management, permission structures, and SSO.

• Engineer-level understanding of networking and security, along with a solid foundation in load balancing principles.

• Strong skills in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, collaborating as part of a multi-user infrastructure team.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and build/deploy automation tools, such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and GitOps.

• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or DataDog.

• Proven ability to resolve complex on-call incidents and lead RCAs resulting in sustainable solutions.

• Proficient in reading Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript.

• A service reliability mindset with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
