Staff Content Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the roadmap for Clio's Italian legal content, establishing targets for completeness, update speed, depth of enrichment, and reliability.

• Achieve or surpass the standards set by Wolters Kluwer Italia, Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre, and UTET Giuridica in terms of coverage, currency, and quality.

• Enhance win rates, build trust, and improve retention, linking these improvements to revenue generated from Italian content.

• Identify gaps in Italian case law and legislation, ranking each gap based on legal significance, customer demand, competitive risk, and cost of remediation.

• Lead decisions on building, buying, or licensing with Licensing, Legal, and Corporate Development teams.

• Manage a prioritized backlog with Content Ops and Engineering, facilitating the transition to Iceberg.

• Develop robust owned pipelines that can withstand load, reducing reliance on fragile third-party links and manual processes.

• Establish standards for monitoring, fault tolerance, and recovery to ensure Vincent and Clio Work remain operational.

• Collaborate with Italian Editorial and Ops teams to enhance case law and legislative metadata, such as citations, amendments, case summaries, and hierarchy.

• Integrate editorial reviews with AI tools to enhance content discovery, usage, and downstream AI readability.

• Partner with Finance and FP&A to evaluate Italian content spending and create dashboards reflecting cost per document, ingestion speed, coverage parity, and enrichment reach.

• Report on roadmap progress, risks, and business impact to the Content Committee quarterly.

• Assess Clio's Italian coverage against regional providers and monitor emerging AI and NLP techniques for legal text processing.

• Establish partnerships with courts, publishers, and open-data organizations.

• Provide training for Product, Sales, Marketing, and Support teams on Clio's Italian content.

• Maintain the internal Italian Legal Materials Reference Guide.

• Act as the primary expert for enterprise deals requiring extensive knowledge of Italian legal content.

• Document Clio's strengths for Product Marketing and Sales Enablement.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of experience in legal publishing, legal data management, or content and product management, demonstrating a history of managing a content portfolio from inception to completion.

• In-depth understanding of the Italian legal system and legal publishing industry, including recognized authorities and current trends.

• Hands-on experience with Italian case law and legislation for legal research or practice platforms.

• Proven track record of setting strategic direction and delivering results at a senior or staff level, rather than merely executing projects.

• Strong product ownership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct reports.

• Prioritization skills grounded in quantitative analysis and ROI calculations.

• Technical proficiency in ETL pipelines, data ingestion systems, and metadata frameworks.

• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.

• History of establishing standards that are adhered to by other teams.

• A strong desire to enhance your skills and knowledge through the use of AI.
