This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop methods to generate manufacturable CAD from intent utilizing B-rep, implicit, and mesh representations.
• Integrate simulation into the process, which includes meshing, finite-element analysis, and physics-based verification while incorporating feedback from analysis into geometry.
• Construct analysis pipelines and tools for reading, verifying, and characterizing CAD and mesh files on a large scale.
• Create feature and tolerance extraction, perform manufacturability assessments for both additive and subtractive processes, and conduct watertight repairs.
• Manage exact geometry interchange and assemblies, including formats such as STEP, IGES, 3MF, as well as handling joints, motion, and collision.
• Lead the geometry research initiative by assessing the field, prototyping methods, and drafting build-direction memos.
• Establish team standards for tolerances, performance, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the CTO and research engineer to develop generative models.
• Define the geometry roadmap and execute most of its components.
• Over 6 years of experience in computational geometry, CAD kernel, or geometry-processing development, with demonstrable work.
• In-depth knowledge of B-rep kernels (such as Parasolid, ACIS, or similar), including kernel internals and the associated mathematics.
• Familiarity with implicit modeling and signed distance fields, as well as converting between implicit, B-rep, and mesh representations.
• Expertise in computational geometry applied to meshes, including booleans, watertight repairs, remeshing, collision detection, and robust predicates.
• Experience with simulations, including finite-element analysis or equivalent physics-based verification, meshing for analysis, and solver integration, either in production or research settings.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience with either production geometry software or published geometry research is required.
• US work authorization is necessary.
• Must qualify for US-person status if needed for export-control compliance.
• Previous experience with coding agents is not mandatory.
