Market Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess product needs and lead technology development initiatives aimed at enhancing the growth of polypropylene compounds.

• Oversee the development processes for polyolefin compounded materials.

• Identify key strategic markets and target customers.

• Define material requirements and specifications for specific applications.

• Collaborate with product development engineers to create material solutions.

• Analyze sample results and generate data sheets along with material physical property information for clients.

• Organize and participate in customer molding trials, offering feedback for future improvements.

• Present comprehensive data packages for customer approvals.

• Engage with customers and OEMs to facilitate and document product approvals.

• Advocate for company products and showcase organizational capabilities.

• Provide call reports and monthly activity updates.

• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints.

• Carry out responsibilities safely while adhering to environmental, health, safety, and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, science, or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience in custom plastic materials.

• Proven ability to utilize technical expertise to foster new business development.

• Capability to establish and nurture strong, long-term relationships with customers.

• Exceptional communication skills, proactive attitude, sense of urgency, friendly demeanor, and strong organizational abilities.

• Proficient in basic computer software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.

• Independent in managing time and support needs.

• Strong expertise in plastics technology.

• Willingness to travel frequently, typically over 50%, which may include international travel.
