Senior Agent Engineer, Langchain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop applications powered by AI utilizing LangChain and large language models (LLMs) to achieve production-ready outcomes for clients.

• Oversee teams through the complete delivery process, encompassing backend services and contemporary web user interfaces.

• Engage in daily pair programming sessions with colleagues and clients.

• Implement test-driven development (TDD) and continuous code refactoring.

• Provide guidance on architectural decisions to enhance scalability, observability, and performance.

• Collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

• Mentor developers through pairing, guidance, and fostering a positive engineering culture.

• Shape the technical direction within client organizations as well as within Focused’s internal practices.

• Explore new generative AI patterns and disseminate findings.

• Execute software projects for clients while establishing engineering best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in full stack engineering with a strong history of delivering software in collaborative, agile settings.

• Familiarity with LangChain or comparable agentic frameworks.

• Understanding of how to effectively and responsibly architect AI-native systems.

• Experience in leading engineering teams and providing mentorship/support to developers.

• Strong belief in and experience with TDD and pair programming.

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages or frameworks, including but not limited to Python, Node, Java, React, or Next.js.

• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and assist teams in adopting modern development methodologies.

• Capacity to convey technical risks and successes clearly to non-technical audiences.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the United States.
