Staff Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

• Collaborate with engineers and technical leaders throughout the organization to deliver products built on robust foundations.

• Create high-quality, end-to-end product experiences across various platforms.

• Enhance engineering standards, tools, and processes.

• Guide and develop the team to execute both short-term and long-term strategic roadmaps.

• Make informed trade-offs by considering business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.

• Identify, define, and manage significant technical projects, establishing the groundwork for early-stage products to evolve and scale iteratively.

• Simplify complexity and boost the reliability of existing systems.

• Influence the foundation of backend infrastructure by constructing a scalable, resilient, and high-performing platform that supports innovative product offerings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development, particularly in platform and infrastructure roles.

• Extensive knowledge of backend programming languages (Go, Node, Python).

• Experience in managing state within distributed systems and familiarity with microservices architecture.

• Proficient in backend testing frameworks and well-versed in system testing best practices.

• Experience collaborating across engineering teams and other departments to build alignment, drive decision-making, and communicate transparently.

• Proven experience in mentoring and contributing to the development of engineers and peers.

• Bonus: A history of leading backend platform development in a high-growth technology environment.

• Bonus: A portfolio or GitHub repository that showcases backend architectural expertise and contributions to middleware, APIs, or server-side applications.

• Bonus: Proficiency in English.
