Staff Auditor – Indirect Cost Rate Reviews

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Perform reviews of indirect cost rates and overhead as per work-order assignments.

• Assist in GAGAS-compliant audits and generate thorough review workpapers.

• Utilize concepts from FAR Part 31 / AASHTO Audit Guide for reviewing consulting-firm overheads.

• Collaborate with the lead auditor and client compliance personnel regarding findings and necessary documentation.

• Provide contributions to auditor qualifications and past-performance narratives for AlphaGov proposals when authorized.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an accounting-related discipline with at least 27 semester hours in accounting (transcripts/diplomas must be provided).

• Experience in indirect-cost, overhead, or related compliance audits.

• Willingness to work as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with moderate to extensive travel to Springfield, IL, and various client locations statewide.

• Familiarity with FAR Part 31 / AASHTO Audit Guide (preferred).

• Experience in auditing consulting-firm overheads (preferred).

• CPA certification (preferred).

• 1–2 previous engagements in indirect-cost or overhead audits that you can reference (preferred).
