This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +6 more states.
β’ Perform routine and unbiased audits/investigations from initiation to conclusion regarding allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse.
β’ Gather data and information for investigations related to USDA SNAP Retailers.
β’ Examine documentation and analyze data to evaluate the validity of allegations.
β’ Identify proactive opportunities to target fraud, waste, and abuse effectively.
β’ Offer precise recommendations to management for resolution and closure.
β’ Document and input findings, preparing comprehensive reports for legal or audit/investigative purposes.
β’ Address customer inquiries and concerns, escalating audits/investigations as necessary.
β’ Compile detailed and organized records while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
β’ Conduct interviews with witnesses, claimants, and other relevant stakeholders.
β’ Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the proper processing of audits/investigations.
β’ Communicate findings to customers, claimants, and stakeholders, managing expectations and providing updates.
β’ Assist in training and supporting fellow auditors/investigators.
β’ Plan and organize personal workload while collaborating with the manager to prioritize projects.
β’ A Bachelor's Degree is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
β’ A minimum of 2β4 years of experience is required; 5β7 years is preferred; experience can substitute for educational requirements.
β’ A private investigator license is required by the customer.
β’ Capability to conduct audits/investigations related to fraud, waste, and abuse.
β’ Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Proficient in reviewing documentation and interviewing involved parties.
β’ Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
β’ Knowledge of industry regulations, legal and regulatory requirements, and relevant policies.
β’ Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screenings is mandatory.
β’ Must be able to work from an eligible U.S. location: DC, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Georgia, or Florida.
