Staff Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute internal audit projects throughout the planning, scoping, fieldwork, and reporting stages.

• Conduct targeted interviews to create risk-based audit work programs.

• Perform walkthroughs, testing, and analytical assessments according to audit programs.

• Draft audit findings and communicate them to auditees.

• Collaborate with auditees to identify root causes and formulate remediation strategies.

• Engage in External Audit EY Direct Assist tasks, including testing and inventory assessments.

• Recognize control deficiencies and opportunities for process efficiency utilizing risk assessment, accounting, finance, and operational insights.

• Analyze and interpret data to detect trends, patterns, anomalies, risks, and control weaknesses.

• Prepare audit reports containing findings, recommendations, and action plans.

• Work together with management and stakeholders on corrective actions and process enhancements.

• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and facilitate timely resolutions.

• Keep abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks.

• Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Participate in special projects.

• Contribute positively to the business and enhance the bottom line.

• Collaborate with a diverse team supported by senior management and the Audit Committee.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related operational field.

• 2–5 years of professional experience in operations or internal audit/public accounting.

• CPA, CMA, or CIA certification is preferred.

• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.

• Demonstrated experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related areas, ideally in a senior or supervisory capacity.

• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

• High attention to detail and proficient organizational skills.

• Effective interpersonal abilities along with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Willingness to travel approximately 30% domestically and internationally.
