Senior IT Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Support management in the planning and execution of intricate IT audit and consulting initiatives.

• Develop objective, risk-oriented evaluations and audit methodologies.

• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and formulate actionable recommendations.

• Act as a technical consultant on IT elements related to financial and operational audits.

• Review IT operations to ensure that computing controls are effectively designed and operated.

• Generate and deliver clear, concise, and insightful reports.

• Assess appropriate technical and security configurations for technical systems and infrastructure operations.

• Aid external auditors with tasks to facilitate timely completion.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and IT best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a business degree with computing experience, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of three years of experience in IT auditing.

• Familiarity and expertise in IT, including distributed computing, IT security, system development, computer operations, business continuity management, disaster recovery, application software, telecommunications, and IT risk assessment.

• Excellent oral and written communication capabilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships to perform in an advisory role and mentor staff.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.

• Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or a related credential.
