Auditor II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct audits on inpatient cases for the purpose of DRG validation and/or enhancing documentation.

• Assess accounts utilizing proprietary software and client EMR systems to ensure account validation.

• Examine inpatient medical records to confirm the accuracy of DRG assignment.

• Offer comprehensive rationale and supporting evidence for findings and recommendations.

• Reference established industry standards, including ICD-10 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, AHIMA Practice Briefs related to compliant querying, and AHA Coding Clinics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a current AHIMA credential of one or more of the following: RHIA, RHIT, and/or CCS.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in ICD-10 auditing and DRG reimbursement.

• Recent experience in acute inpatient auditing is required.
