Staff Analyst

📋 Description

• Create and sustain credit analytics for portfolio oversight, forecasting, valuation, and strategic decision-making.

• Aid in loss forecasting, scenario analysis, portfolio performance evaluation, and reporting.

• Contribute to risk capital analytics for securitizations, warehouse facilities, and forward-flow initiatives.

• Examine portfolio trends and offer recommendations to product, credit policy, finance, and funding stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Machine Learning, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Capital teams on metrics, definitions, analytical frameworks, and business needs.

• Develop and enhance data models, pipelines, dashboards, and automated reporting systems.

• Implement analytical validation, monitoring, documentation, and governance protocols.

• Convey complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in analytics, credit risk, quantitative finance, or a related field within fintech, financial services, consumer lending, or a comparable industry.

• Proficiency in credit risk, loss forecasting, portfolio analytics, valuation, or related financial-performance frameworks.

• Solid understanding of risk capital or structured finance concepts, including securitizations, warehouse facilities, forward-flow initiatives, or investor reporting.

• Strong SQL capabilities.

• Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Python or R.

• Experience with large datasets and the development of repeatable, well-documented analyses.

• Ability to distill complex analytical work into clear, actionable business insights.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to collaborate across functions.

• Availability in the West Coast time zone.

• Preferred: experience collaborating with Machine Learning or Data Science teams, capital analytics, deal economics, risk/return frameworks, analytics infrastructure, dashboards, automated reporting, GenAI-enabled analytical solutions, model governance, controls, audit, model validation, valuation review, and analytical project management.
