Staff Accounting Intern – Summer 2027

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in reconciling accounts and maintaining financial records.

• Aid in the preparation of journal entries and accounting schedules.

• Assist with activities related to month-end closing.

• Support accounting functions related to payroll.

• Help with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed.

• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and accompanying schedules.

• Review financial information for accuracy and completeness.

• Keep organized accounting records and documentation.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Support variance analysis and reporting efforts.

• Participate in audit preparation and the gathering of documentation.

• Assist with special projects and initiatives aimed at process improvement.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing; preference for Junior and Senior students.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles gained through coursework.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.

• Frequently required to remain in a stationary position.

• Regularly moving through home office, facilities, and other environments.

• May occasionally lift or move equipment or items weighing up to 25 pounds.

• Up to 5% business travel may be required, potentially to any or all 50 US states.
