Staff Accountant – Revenue

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist with the daily and weekly operations of the Accounting/Finance team.

• Provide essential support across various finance functions.

• Implement systems, software, processes, and procedures effectively.

• Uphold a system of controls over all accounting transactions.

• Aid in the timely and accurate issuance of monthly financial statements.

• Ensure that clients receive accurate and prompt invoicing.

• Support collection initiatives.

• Process client payments efficiently.

• Guarantee that balance sheet reconciliations are completed within set deadlines.

• Assist with requests during the annual audit process.

• Prepare ad hoc reports and special projects as needed.

• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach for both internal and external clients.

• Report directly to the Finance Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

• Dedication to producing work that is free of errors.

• High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot and Claude, with the ability to enhance processes using AI.

• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.

• Capability to thrive in a remote work environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Positive attitude, self-motivated, and able to work both collaboratively and independently.

• Customer service-oriented mindset.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish; fluency in both spoken and written communication is preferred.

• Experience working with international teams and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.

• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualifications with public accounting experience is a bonus.

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct accounting software is an added advantage.
