Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Prepare and manage monthly rollforwards for BTC, ETH, LTC, and other supported digital currencies.

• Reconcile wallet balances with blockchain data and internal subledgers.

• Conduct wallet data cleanup, validation, and resolution of exceptions.

• Execute fair market value calculations and remeasurements for digital asset holdings.

• Assist in position checks and proof-of-reserves style reconciliations.

• Process and account for cryptocurrency donations, rewards, and incentives.

• Document and reconcile hardware wallet activities, including Trezor and cold storage solutions.

• Prepare and post journal entries for the month-end closing process.

• Carry out balance sheet account reconciliations, flux analysis, and variance explanations.

• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

• Aid in the preparation of financial reporting schedules and audit support packages.

• Create spreadsheet reports, verify financial data, and reconcile accounts.

• Analyze accounting policies and procedures and suggest enhancements.

• Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Practical experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

• Required knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system is highly preferred.

• Exceptional organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A passion for fintech and the evolving cryptocurrency sector is a plus.

• Familiarity with Alteryx, Tableau, or similar data and business intelligence tools is an advantage.

• Exposure to multi-entity or international accounting environments is an added benefit.

• Must currently reside in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
