This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Execute daily operations related to the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with the processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and reporting.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and address any banking issues that arise.
• Detect financial discrepancies by comparing actual results with plans, forecasts, and prior year figures.
• Manage general ledger accounts in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Conduct monthly account reconciliations and rectify any discrepancies found.
• Spot opportunities for performance enhancements throughout the organization.
• Review and authorize expense reports.
• Maintain and update the fixed asset roster within Workday.
• Gather and analyze financial data for the organization.
• Assist in the budget development and support financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Help train staff and establish standardized procedures for the region.
• Aid in the monthly and quarterly compliance control self-assessments.
• Ensure security by adhering to internal controls and maintaining segregation of duties.
• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Foster collaboration among team members, finance, sales, and operational departments.
• Generate management ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
• Complete cross-training and undertake other additional assigned responsibilities.
• A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university with a concentration in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting is mandatory.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Highly adept at handling financial and numerical data.
• Capability to multi-task and meet expectations in a high-pressure environment.
• Willingness to work the necessary hours to complete tasks, especially during critical deadlines that increase departmental pressure.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
