This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.
β’ Administer, configure, maintain, monitor, and upgrade SQL Server databases in both production and non-production environments.
β’ Ensure that databases are available, reliable, secure, and perform efficiently in accordance with agreed operational and service levels.
β’ Conduct SQL Server troubleshooting, investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
β’ Monitor database performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
β’ Support database-related requests and collaborate with developers and technical teams to address application and database issues.
β’ Contribute to the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of databases and repositories.
β’ Collaborate closely with internal teams and external providers to ensure effective communication and timely resolution of technical challenges.
β’ Take ownership of assigned tasks, adhere to established processes, and deliver work within agreed-upon timelines.
β’ Demonstrated professional experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a comparable database administration position.
β’ Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
β’ Extensive experience in SQL Server troubleshooting, performance analysis, and issue resolution.
β’ Proficient knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
β’ Understanding of database availability, reliability, monitoring, and performance optimization techniques.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of investigating complex technical issues independently.
β’ Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside developers, infrastructure teams, and third-party providers.
β’ Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a distinct advantage.
β’ Background in database design, repositories, and enterprise-level production environments is a plus.
