SQL Server DBA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Administer, configure, maintain, monitor, and upgrade SQL Server databases within both production and non-production settings.

• Ensure that databases are accessible, reliable, secure, and perform optimally according to established operational and service levels.

• Conduct troubleshooting for SQL Server, investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement effective resolutions.

• Monitor database performance and proactively identify areas for enhancement and optimization.

• Support database-related requests and collaborate with developers and technical teams to address application and database challenges.

• Contribute to the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of databases and repositories.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and third-party providers to resolve technical issues.

• Take responsibility for assigned tasks and ensure they are completed within agreed-upon timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience as a SQL Server DBA or in a comparable database administration position.

• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.

• Extensive experience with troubleshooting, performance analysis, and issue resolution in SQL Server environments.

• Proficient understanding of SQL and PL/SQL.

• Knowledge of database availability, reliability, monitoring, and performance optimization techniques.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to independently investigate complex technical issues.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working alongside developers, infrastructure teams, and third-party service providers.

• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with database design, repositories, and enterprise production environments is a plus.
