This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee, organize, and carry out live sports broadcasts across satellite and digital platforms, handling audio acquisition, metadata, broadcast automation, signal routing, and quality assurance.

• Manage, observe, and resolve issues with satellite, IP, Audio over IP, baseband, digital audio workstations, automation systems, routing frameworks, broadcast health dashboards, metadata validation tools, and technical alerts.

• Collaborate with Programming, Broadcast Engineering, Sports Board Operators, and external providers to prepare, execute, monitor, and support live sports broadcasts.

• Record incidents, raise operational risks, and ensure smooth event delivery.

• Engage in operational testing, disaster recovery drills, workflow enhancements, automation projects, and high-availability validation.

• Assist in developing operational procedures and maintain precise incident documentation.

• Effectively prioritize competing issues and make prompt decisions during live broadcasts in a dynamic operations setting.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in broadcast operations.

• A Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, Media, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

• Proficient in digital audio editing, broadcast automation, quality control, digital routing, and live sports broadcast operations.

• Familiar with Zetta by RCS, digital audio routing, Audio over IP, broadcast signal flow, satellite and IP codecs, transport stream over IP, metadata management, broadcast monitoring, operational analytics, and ServiceNow or similar incident management systems.

• Capability to interpret audio and metadata signal flows and resolve broadcast outages.

• Ability to monitor system alarms and logs and respond adeptly to operational incidents.

• Strong understanding of major North American professional and collegiate sports and live sporting events.

• Competent in Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email applications.

• Excellent organizational, communication, proofreading, problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple live events in a high-pressure environment.

• Availability from Thursday to Sunday, 4:00 pm to 12:00 am EST.
