Splunk Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee Splunk solutions aimed at advanced data analysis, monitoring, and visualization.

• Install, configure, and manage Splunk environments within both on-premise and cloud infrastructures.

• Conduct upgrades, apply patches, and perform maintenance to ensure peak system performance and security.

• Monitor the health of the Splunk system and resolve performance, configuration, and connectivity issues.

• Collaborate with application owners, network engineers, and stakeholders to identify pertinent data sources.

• Develop and sustain data onboarding processes, including the parsing, indexing, and normalization of logs and metrics.

• Write and enhance regular expressions, data transformations, and event types for precise data ingestion.

• Create intricate Splunk queries using Search Processing Language (SPL).

• Develop dashboards, reports, and alerts to meet operational, security, and business needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be available for 10-20% travel to Phoenix, AZ as required.

• Must be a US Citizen.

• At least 8 years of hands-on experience with Splunk administration, implementation, and data analysis, ideally in a medium-to-large enterprise setting.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred.
