Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate control system designs, encompassing I/O configurations, architectural frameworks, submittals, and testing documentation.

• Enhance and broaden technical knowledge through training, publications, and active engagement within the industry.

• Offer technical leadership across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by crafting technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Work alongside project managers to guarantee the timely, accurate, and cost-efficient completion of projects.

• Guide and mentor engineers, providing expert advice in technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Engage proactively and professionally with clients.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Deliver responsive support for problem-solving.

• Manage and execute project tasks within the established schedule and budget.

• Lead complete project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects.

• Recognize scope changes and identify new business prospects.

• Effectively delegate tasks and ensure team members are accountable.

• Accurately estimate timelines and manage project risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Direct and assist junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant experience.

• More than 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent position).

• Preferred Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications.

• Advanced capabilities in leadership and decision-making.

• Capacity to remain effective under pressure.

• Strong mindset for innovation and process enhancement.

• Demonstrated ability to inspire and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Dedication to continuous professional growth.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% as needed.

• Participation in an on-call rotation as required.

• Valid driver's license is essential.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.
