Lead Controls Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate system design, encompassing I/O design, architecture, submittals, and documentation for testing.

• Continuously enhance expertise through training, publications, and active engagement in the industry.

• Offer technical guidance across various projects and teams.

• Assist in business development by creating technical proposals and delivering presentations.

• Work alongside project managers to guarantee timely, precise, and cost-efficient project delivery.

• Mentor engineers and provide expert advice across technical, financial, and operational areas.

• Promote company design standards and quality through the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Maintain proactive and professional communication with customers.

• Comply with client-specific standards and procedures.

• Provide outstanding service and responsive support for problem-solving.

• Manage and supervise project tasks to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

• Lead full project lifecycles when designated.

• Act as the primary customer contact for the projects assigned.

• Identify changes in scope and new business prospects.

• Delegate responsibilities efficiently and ensure team accountability.

• Accurately assess timelines and manage project risks.

• Cultivate a collaborative and positive team environment.

• Direct and support junior staff in construction, operations, and maintenance activities where applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with relevant experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of overall experience.

• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer II (or equivalent role).

• Professional Engineering (PE) license and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.

• Advanced leadership and decision-making skills.

• Ability to remain effective under pressure.

• Strong inclination towards innovation and process enhancement.

• Demonstrated capability to motivate and mentor engineers.

• Excellent relationship-building skills within the industry.

• Dedication to continuous professional development.

• Active involvement in industry organizations.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight may be necessary.

• Participation in an on-call rotation as needed.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Must be fit for duty at all times.

• Authorization to work in the country of employment is mandatory.
