Spine Surgery Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and impartial reviews of medical charts that adhere to established clinical standards and evidence-based guidelines.

• Evaluate medical records and associated documentation to develop clear and well-supported clinical opinions.

• Create concise, accurate, and justifiable written reports that back review conclusions.

• Carry out reviews in alignment with MMRO's quality benchmarks and predetermined turnaround times.

• Employ MMRO review templates and confirm that all necessary elements are completed and accurate.

• Uphold professionalism, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

• Respond swiftly to inquiries from MMRO clinical and operations personnel.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and ongoing training initiatives.

• Integrate quality feedback from MMRO's Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and clinical team.

• Promote continuous quality enhancement efforts through constructive feedback and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a current, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine within the United States.

• Valid state licensure.

• Board Certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) recognized specialty board.

• At least five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical practice with direct patient care.

• Active clinical experience within the last three (3) years.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to consistently meet established review deadlines.

• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Spine Surgery is preferred.

• Previous experience with peer reviews, independent medical reviews, disability evaluations, utilization review, or expert medical opinions is preferred.
